IEICE technical meeting of Smart Radios at Takamatsu, Kagawa
I participated in the January technical committee meeting of Smart Radios (commonly known as SR-Ren) of the Institute of Electronics, Information and Communication Engineers (IEICE). The January 2025 workshop was held on January 30th and 31st at the Sunport Hall Takamatsu.
I took the Shinkansen from Hiroshima Station to Okayama Station, and then the Rapid Marine Liner from Okayama Station to Takamatsu Station.
The venue for this technical committee meeting, Sunport Hall Takamatsu, was a very modern place.
The corridor was made of glass, so the view was great.
The hall has a high ceiling and an electrically-liftable floor, making it suitable for use not only for meetings but also for theater performances and other events.
I also gave a research presentation titled “EEffect of reducing MADOCA-PPP positioning time using QZSS ionospheric delay information.” I am very happy to hear the news of the successful launch of the Quasi-Zenith Satellite Michibiki No. 6.

During our lunch break, I enjoyed Takamatsu’s specialty udon noodles at a restaurant inside Sunport Hall Takamatsu.
I enjoyed talking to many people at the conference.
Ritsurin Park is a famous park in Takamatsu. If you travel a little further from Takamatsu, there are many other places of interest, such as Shodoshima and Kotohira. I would like to visit Takamatsu again.
